FLChildcare.com is a service provided by Flops, Inc. (an Orlando-based internet consulting company).  The website's founder, Andrea Hardaway, launched this site in June 2005 after having trouble finding care and activity options for her nieces who were visiting her in Orlando..

Andrea recalls:
"I was trying to make plans for my 2 nieces to come and spend part of the summer with me.  They were 2 and 8 years old at the time.  I spent HOURS trying to find things for them to do during the day, but it was just too difficult.  There was tons of vague information available for the 2 year old, but I could barely find any resources for the 8 year old.   I soon realized that there was not a single online solution for the state of Florida that would cater to the needs of a family who had kids of varying ages.

"So, I conducted a survey of over 300 Florida families.  Not only did they feel information was limited, but they had a strong desire to just go to one place to find options for all of their kids.  So, I had to do something!  Thus, FLChildcare.com was created!

The ultimate goal is to provide a simple and low-cost advertising option for Florida's providers in a place where 1 Florida family can go to 1 website and find 1 set of solutions for every child in their home!"

FLChildcare.com is a FREE service for Florida families.  Our goal is to help parents find options for every child in the home (tots to teens).  The main feature of this service is our online business directory.  It caters to the needs of Florida's parents, by providing detailed information about local providers whose services target Florida's youth.

Whether it's finding daycare close to your job for your infant/toddler, looking for a camp or after-school program for your middle school-aged child, or finding private lessons for your teenager... we're here to assist!
